Vodka is one of my favorite spirits to use when making cocktails because it is just so versatile! Many of the most famous and popular cocktails are made with vodka, and for good reason. Whether paired with fruit, mixers, coffee, or even with other spirits, vodka always works.

Learn How To Make These Vodka Cocktails
Black Russian
Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice. Pour in 2 ounces of vodka and 1 ounce of coffee liqueur (Kahlua). Stir to combine and serve.
White Russian
Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice. Pour in 2 ounces of vodka and 1 ounce of coffee liqueur (Kahlua). Pour 1 oz of heavy cream over the back of a bar spoon to create a layered effet.
Moscow Mule
Fill a copper mug with ice cubes. Squeeze a lime directly over the ice and then pour in 2 ounces of vodka. Top off with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.
Screwdriver
Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka and top off with orange juice. Stir to combine and garnish with an orange slice.
Cosmopolitan
Pour 1.5 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of triple sec, 1 ounce of cranberry juice, and the juice from half a lime into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and shaker for 20 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
Vodka Martini
Fill a mixing glass with ice and pour in 2 ounces of vodka and 0.5 ounces of dry vermouth. Stir gently with a bar spoon for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist or olive and serve.
Vodka Collins
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 ounces of simple syrup. Shake for 10-15 seconds and then strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top off with soda water and garnish with a lemon wheel and cherry.
Blue Lagoon
Fill a large glass with ice and pour in 1 ounce of vodka and 1 ounce of Blue Curacao. Top up with lemonade and stir to combine. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Woo Woo
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 1 ounce of vodka, 1 ounce of peach schnapps, and 4 ounces of cranberry juice. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice and garnish with a lemon wedge.
Vodka Gimlet
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 ounces of simple syrup. Shake for 15-20 seconds and then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
Espresso Martini
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of Kahlua, and 1 ounce of fresh espresso. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with 2-3 coffee beans.
Sea Breeze
Fill a glass with ice and pour in 2 ounces of vodka, 3 ounces of cranberry juice, and top off with 1 ounce of grapefruit juice. Stir gently and then garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
Flat White Martini
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 2 ounces of Baileys, 1 ounce of vodka, and 1 ounce of espresso. Shake well until the outside of the shaker is cold. Strain into a chilled martini glass and serve.
Vodka Tonic
Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice. Pour in 2 ounces of vodka and top off with 4-6 ounces of tonic water. Stir to combine and then garnish with a lemon or lime wedge.
Vesper Martini
Fill a mixing glass with ice and pour in 3 ounces of gin, 1 ounce of vodka, and 0.5 ounces of Lillet Blanc. Stir gently for 15-20 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
Kamikaze
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of triple sec, and one ounce of fresh lime juice. Shake for 15-20 seconds and then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and serve.
Lemon Drop Martini
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 0.5 ounces of Cointreau, 1 ounce of fresh lime juice, and 1 teaspoon of superfine sugar. Shake for 15-20 seconds and then strain into a chilled martini glass and serve.
Madras
Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice. Pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 2 ounces of cranberry juice, and 0.5 ounces of orange juice. Gently stir with a bar spoon and garnish with an orange slice.
Greyhound
Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in 2 ounces of vodka and 4 ounces of grapefruit juice. Stir to combine and serve.
Salty Dog
Rim an Old Fashioned glass with a grapefruit wedge and then place upside down in a plate of kosher salt. Fill the glass with ice and pour in 2 ounces of vodka and top up with grapefruit juice. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and serve.
Harvey Wallbanger
Fill a Collins glass with ice and pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 4 ounces of orange juice, and 0.5 ounces of Galliano Liqueur. Stir gently and serve.
Cape Cod
Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice. Pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka and top up with cranberry juice. Stir to combine and serve.
Sex On The Beach
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 0.5 ounces of peach schnapps, and 2 ounces of cranberry juice. Shake for 15-20 seconds and then strain into a highball glass filled with ice.

Godmother
Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice. Pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka and 0.5 ounces of Amaretto. Stir to combine and serve.
Bloody Mary
Fill a shaker with ice and pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 3 ounces of tomato juice, 0.5 ounces of fresh lemon juice, 1 dash of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 dash of Tabasco. Shake for 15-20 seconds and then strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a celery stick and serve.
Vodka Sunrise
Fill a tall glass with ice and pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, and 4 ounces of orange juice. Slowly pour 0.75 ounces of Grenadine syrup down the side of the glass. Garnish with an orange slice and serve.
Vodka Sour
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice, and 0.75 ounces of simple syrup. Shake for 15-20 seconds and then strain into an Old Fashioned glass with ice.
French Martini
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 0.5 ounces of Chambord, and 1.5 ounces of pineapple juice. Shake for 15-20 seconds and then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist and serve.
