The Godfather: A Whisky Cocktail You Can’t Refuse

There’s something about holding a heavy-bottomed Old Fashioned glass with whisky that makes me feel powerful. But as soon as I take a sip, my sense of power quickly fades away as I start coughing and gasping. Like many, straight whisky just isn’t my thing, but a whisky cocktail? Well, that’s an offer I can’t refuse! Here’s how to make my favorite whisky cocktail, the Godfather.

Pro Tip: To give this drink an authentic Godfather touch, try lighting a cinnamon stick until it smokes, then place the smoldering ‘cigar’ into the drink. Not only will it add a hint of spice, but it’ll also make you feel like a true Don of cocktail hour! Don’t like whisky? Swap out the whisky for vodka to make a Godmother Cocktail.
