You are currently viewing Yuengling Flight Review: Is It A Good Beer?

I’ve been trying a lot of light beers recently, and they all seem to have one thing in common: a lack of flavor! Yuengling Flight is no different, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Ultra-light beers like Yuengling Flight are designed to be crisp and refreshing so that they can be drunk continuously without worrying too much about the calories and alcohol content.

What Does Yuengling Flight Taste Like?

Yuengling Flight has a low level of bitterness with an IBU of around 5. This makes it quite a refreshing beer, but the taste is far from the bitterness of a typical lager which has an IBU of around 10 to 15.

In terms of flavor, Yuengling Flight has a slight grassy and grainy taste with a distinct corny sweetness. I was also able to detect hints of roasted caramel notes. Like most light beers, the aftertaste is not great, but it’s not terrible, either.

As for mouthfeel, Yuengling Flight has a high level of carbonation, which adds to the crisp and refreshing nature of this beer. The higher carbonation, together with the low bitterness, makes Yuengling Flight very drinkable and refreshing.
